Today, the U.S Government monitors who you're calling, for how long, and at what times
- even if you're not under suspicion of any wrongdoing. Currently,
sections of the Patriot Act allow for the bulk collection of telephone
records of millions of innocent people.

Right now, the Patriot Act provision authorizing bulk collection of phone call data can be used to acquire “any tangible thing”,
which could allow the mass surveillance of your emails. Because of a
lack of transparency, we don't know how much data they are collecting
and on how many people.

The Patriot Act allows for bulk phone call data collection, the same laws could be used to authorize mass surveillance of Internet search data. Without more transparency, there's no way to know how much of your Internet surfing is collected or stored.
